The Fundraising School through Indiana University Returns to Traverse City
NorthSky Nonprofit Network is once again sponsoring the "The Fundraising School through Indiana University's School of Philanthropy". This professional development session is a unique opportunity for area fundraisers to participate in a national recognized program, that is viewed as the gold standard of fundraising training programs.
The session, "Interpersonal Communication for Fundraising," will led by Carole J. Pence, MA, and will be held on November 8 and 9 from 8:30 am to 4 pm at Northwestern Michigan College's University Center campus in room 12. The course focuses on the dynamics of interpersonal relationships including how different behavioral types perceive the world, and how fundraisers can use this understanding to be more skillful in building relationships for fundraising. Participants will learn practical skills such as using the right questions to reveal donor motivations, how to communicate with and influence different behavioral types, and how to manage differences in communication styles.
The 2-day workshop fee is $375 and includes continental breakfast, lunch, certificate of completion through Indiana University and materials. Registration is required at http://www.eventbrite.com/event/2111213697
