DENNOS MUSEUM PRESENTS: CALCULART: MATHEMATICS AS ART IN A 3-D VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENT January 20 – June 1, 2008 (closing date is subject to change) Museum visitors will be invited into a gallery featuring a 3-screened, back-projection portable virtual-reality environment called CANVAS. A creation of the Beckman Institute at the University of Illinois at Champaign- Urbana, CANVAS allows the visitor to call up 3-D projected imagery from a computer and to also create their own imagery in planned workshops.
