MCACA 2012 Mini-grants
Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA) regrant program is administered locally through NorthSky Nonprofit Network. The program's regranting goals are to address arts & cultural needs, increase public access to arts and culture and to support projects that preserve, produce or present traditional or contemporary arts and culture. The grants are funded by the State of Michigan through the Michigan Arts and Cultural Affairs and administered through 19 local districts. NorthSky is administering District 10 funding for Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee and Wexford counties.
MCACA 2012 Mini-grant Applications
Leelanau, Antrim, Benzie, Kalkaska, Missaukee, Manistee and Wexford counties will have the opportunity to apply for project mini-grants up to $4,000 offered through the Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs regrant program and administered through NorthSky Nonprofit Network. Funding is available for projects underway January 1 – September 30. Please mark the following dates and key points:
Monday, 8/15 through 10/3: Applications and guidelines are available on NorthSky website.
Monday, 8/22: Application workshop at Traverse City Chamber of Commerce, 11am-1pm (brown bag lunch). Registration is not required.
Monday, 8/29: Application workshop at Cadillac Wexford Public Library 3-5pm.Registration is not required.
Tuesday, 9/13: CDP Data Project workshop at Traverse City Chamber of Commerce, 10-11:30 (all applicants must be registered with CDP). Registration is required.
Tuesday, 9/13: Work session – CDP follow-up and Minigrant application assistance @ Traverse City Chamber of Commerce (11:30am-1:30pm). Registration is not required.
Monday, 10/3: Application deadline. Postmark by 10/3/2011 or hand deliver to NorthSky by 4pm on 10/3/2011.
Please note that participating arts organizations applying for minigrants must be registered with the Cultural Data Project. A CDP workshop will be offered in Traverse City on Tuesday, September 13, followed by an open work session from 11:30am to 1:30pm to enter data on your own laptop and/or obtain minigrant application assistance.
