Economic Impact Reports Released About the Northwestern Michigan Nonprofit Industry
Two economic impact studies describing both the economic contributions of the nonprofit sector on Northern Michigan and the impact of the current economic downturn on nonprofits in the region were recently released. These studies provide compelling information about the economic importance and health of northern Michigan nonprofits. Many nonprofit organizations directly participated in the "Meeting Challenging Times " study by completing a survey developed by NorthSky, Northwestern Michigan College, and Michigan State University Extension.

michigan.gov/recovery - State of Michigan's portal for ARRA information. Click on “Grant Opportunities” for a summary and contact information for all ARRA grant opportunities (formula and competitive).
grants.gov/applicants/recovery.jsp The grants.gov page dedicated to Federal Recovery Act competitive grant opportunities. There are links to all the Federal departments' newly created recovery web pages as well as a link to a listing of all of the open Recovery
