Would you like to know where to find data to weave into your grant proposals, reports, planning processes and organizational operations? Pack a lunch and join us for this workshop designed to acquaint you with a variety of resources where you can find data and other information to support your work. We will explore such resources as the U.S. Census, Center for Disease Control, Bureau of Labor Statistics as well as state and local information. Participants will be asked about types of data or information they would like to find prior to the workshop, and select examples will be highlighted in the workshop.
Jennie Berkson is an information research professional with over twenty years of experience in urban, suburban and rural public libraries and more than ten years reporting on complex issues in public secondary education for The Roundtable newspaper in Evanston, Illinois. She has established a consulting practice focusing on acquiring, analyzing, editing and presenting information to organizations to assist them to further their missions and enhance their effectiveness.
