MoU's, PA's, ABC's. What does it all mean and why does my organization need one? When working with partners, we like to believe we can "just work things out." For the most part, it is true. Occasionally, things don't go quite as we had planned. That is why it is important to spell out, at the very beginning, the expectations of each party when deciding to collaborate on a project -- big or small. One way to do that is to have a written Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) or Partnership Agreement (PA). In this workshop we will review different agreements, talk about what you may want to include in any agreement you enter into, and explore what options you have when things don't go as planned.

This workshop is important for any partnerships that are planning on applying for a Rotary Charities grant. Signed agreements will be required with applications.

Rebecca Rogan, Executive Director of Conflict Resolution Services, has been helping individuals and groups resolve conflicts for nearly three decades. She will bring her humor, agreement templates, and some examples of how things can go right even when it seems like everything is going wrong.
