City Opera House is seeking an accomplished, highly motivated and experienced development professional to lead City Opera House in meeting fundraising goals. This position works with Wharton Center for Performing Arts and works in tandem with the COH Board on annual funding as well as securing corporate sponsorships, program ads, capital, endowment and grant fundraising initiatives.
Position Summary: Develops the planning and implementation of a comprehensive fund raising program for the City Opera House. Development programs to include corporate sponsorship, annual fund campaign and special event appeals as well as assisting with capital needs and endowments. Conducts research to identify potential organizations, individual donors and grant funding; recruits and works with the COHHA Board to organize fundraising efforts; develop proposals, promotional brochures, appeal letters and other supportive materials for solicitation purpose. Responsible for acknowledgements, renewals, other correspondence and maintaining accurate donor records. Experience in researching grant opportunities and the ability to write and submit grant proposals.
Candidate must possess; excellent written and oral skills, computer literacy and experience with database programs, three-five years of fundraising experience and knowledge of the performing arts. Huron Pines AmeriCorps is designed to provide northern Michigan conservation organizations with highly qualified individuals for a term of volunteer service. Not only are conservation organizations better able to protect Michigan’s natural resources, the program also provides members with real‐world experience and training. With a living stipend and some attractive benefits, this program provides an opportunity to develop as a resource professional in the conservation community. AmeriCorps members will be placed in northern Michigan with a variety of organizations. Member activities include volunteer engagement, habitat restoration, environmental stewardship and developing new conservation services. The Lake Louise Christian Community Board of Trustees is seeking applications for a full time Executive Director for Lake Louise Christian Community, a 501 (c)(3) non- profit. This year round retreat center, camp and cottage community is located on the pristine shores of Lake Louise (Thumb Lake) in Boyne Falls, Michigan.
The Executive Director (ED) shall have the responsibility for the implementation of the vision and evaluation of the extended ministries within the guidelines established by the Lake Louise Christian Community (LLCC) Board of Trustees and will provide leadership for ministry, operations, marketing, human resources, finance and fundraising. The ED will lead full, part-time and seasonal staff. This position will ensure the creation, development and ongoing effectiveness of all programs and activities. All functions and activities will be performed within the stated vision, mission, and core values of LLCC, a United Methodist ministry.
