Grantmaking:
During 2006-07, Rotary Charities made 45 grants totaling $1,156,239. These grants covered a wide range of activities, from lighthouse webcams to land preservation to workforce development. With Rotary Charities' contribution of the State Theater building to the Traverse City Film Festival, the total grants for the year exceeded $2.6 million. Incubation:
On page 8 of our report we introduce NorthSky Nonprofit Network and outline its relationship to our Rotary organizations.  We have also attached a PDF containing NorthSky’s informational brochure or you can connect directly to their website, www.northskynonprofitnetwork.org . We believe that the establishment of this management support organization has the potential to be one of the most significant grants in our history and make a real meaningful difference in almost every aspect of the quality of life of our region.

Community Convening:
On page 7 of this report, you can read a brief description of our recent activities to improve access to affordable housing in the region. In addition, Rotary Camps & Services oversight of the Grand Traverse Bay Alliance is going to result in a dynamic new water-based education center, benefiting our entire community.Please contact me if you have any questions or need additional information.
