Spirits, Relics, and Rituals: The John Korachis Collection of African Art – Developed in partnership with the Midland Center for the Arts, this exhibition features over 60 works from this private collection. Geographically, the objects cover an area south of the Sahara Desert, down the west coast and through the central section of Africa. The regions which are represented include Sierra Leon, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon, Gabon and Republic of Congo.


Admission is $4.00 adults, $2.00 for children and free to museum members.

Over the past four decades, Charlie Daniels has embraced everything from country and bluegrass to rock, blues and gospel. His 1979 single “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” won a Grammy and propelled the band to international stardom. Opening will be Detour, a northern Michigan bluegrass band featuring 2001 National Banjo Champion Mike Sumner, Zak Bunce, Peter Knupfer, Scott Zylstra and Jeff Rose.
