"Volunteer Recruitment"

This video conference will provide attendees with online tools and strategies for volunteer recruitment. Presenters will provide participants with information on how to better utilize their website for volunteer recruitment utilizing their 7 golden rules for website usage: visibility, options for getting individuals interested, communication and expectations of site visitors, the timeliness of the information the organization displays, viral marketing, internal business processes, and traffic reporting. We will also highlight how to make the best use of United Way of Northwest Michigan’s online Volunteer Center for posting positions and searching for volunteers including new Board Members. We’ll even provide instructions as to how to create a link on your website to your Volunteer Center postings. Don’t have a website yet? Don't worry. You can still take full advantage of this online volunteer-matching system.

Following the presentation participants in each location will have a chance to discuss volunteer recruitment tools and ideas with the other participants at their site.
